For your safety and that of myself, please refrain from massage or inform me ahead of time so as to avoid areas of the body in cases of burns or open wounds. This would include rashes, cuts or skin irritations such as, but not limited to, severe eczema or poison ivy.
If you you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact me

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER YOUR SESSION

BEFORE
your session, you will fill out an informative client intake form which will tell me of your contact information, current health situation and the reason for your visit. Please be sure to include as much as possible, including past or recent injuries, surgeries or acute breakouts so I will be aware of techniques that may be contraindicated for your session. You will undress to your comfort level and relax on the table under the sheet and blanket. You will also have time to ask questions or voice concerns.

DURING your session, I will only undrape the area being worked on. When that area is finished it will be covered again. Please let me know if you feel uncomfortable with draping, pressure, music or even temperature. Remember to take deep breadths, relax your mind and body and enjoy your session.

AFTER your session, you will feel refreshed, renewed and more calm. Take your time when getting up. You may feel light headed or dizzy due to the release of toxins. Water is best to drink following a session. Some feel energetic, and others may feel the need to take a nap. Either way, try and allow the affects of the massage to "sink in" by not doing anything too strenuous after your session. Enjoy yourself and take it in.

Some forms of massage may leave you feeling a little sore the next day. This is normal and may be relieved with the use of ice. Overall, your body should be feeling more at ease. Your massage should not be painful or uncomfortable. If any part of your massage doesn't feel right or is painful, do not hesitate to speak up right away so that I can change my technique or pressure to better suit you
