What I Do

My goal in any session is to customize it to your specific needs. Tell me what you would like to achieve out of your session. What is your pain level today? What is your stress level? Would you like me to focus on your sciatic pain, SI joint pain or even your fibromyalgia pain? Is your session today just to relax and unwind or do you need extra attention on your neck and shoulders? Whatever the case, my goal is to cater to you and make you feel comfortable in the process.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

- This type of massage utilizes Swedish Massage techniques along with techniques that allow the therapist to massage "deeper" into the muscle tissues. Theses techniques include, friction, stripping, and sustained compression. Deep tissue massage is done on a specific area of the body. It is used to work out those "kinks and knots" and that ropy or dense muscle tissue that cause unwanted trigger points and tension adhesions. Deep tissue massage should not leave you in pain but leave you feeling more relaxed with better range of motion, flexibility and soft soothed muscles.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

- Used to promote relaxation to the entire body. Long, warm handed strokes will be used with a slow intention filled rhythm to bring the body to its natural state of relaxation. Light, moderate or firm pressure techniques can be used at your discretion and comfort.

SPORTS MASSAGE

- This is geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries. Lots stretching and tapotement after warming up each muscle group will be included in your sports massage session.

THERAPEUTIC REFLEXOLOGY

- This modality is especially good for those who are not yet comfortable with a regular massage. You will remain fully clothed while your therapist targets specific points associated with the body on your feet, hands or ears. Reflexology is also known to bring the body to a relaxed state while indirectly soothing areas of tension such as the shoulders, neck or low back and promoting blood flow.

CHAIR MASSAGE

- Chair massage can be just as therapeutic as a table massage. You will remain clothed and sink into a deep thought of "nothing". It has many of the same benefits as table massage. Focus is usually on the back and neck but not limited to these areas. Great for lunch breaks!
